Psychiatry Physician

Position Details

Monday - Friday, (Currently M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm)
On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries
Inpatient settings
On Call Hours = Nights, Weekends, and Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.
  (6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour per day, totaling 6 to 6.5 hours)
• Direct Patient Care: estimated 90%
• Scope of Care
  - Operating and collaborating physician's patients
• - Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients
• - Admitting and Diagnosis of patients
• - Developing Treatment Plans
• - Managing, including the performance of timely treatment
• - Discharge/Transfer all needed medical record documentation

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required
• Valid medical license in any U.S. state
• Current and unrestricted DEA license
• BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
