Responsibilities
- Evaluate and determine patient appropriateness for TMS treatment, including initial psychiatric assessments and ongoing clinical oversight.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, ensuring adherence to evidence-based TMS protocols.
- Conduct motor threshold determinations, regular re-mappings, and manage any clinical side effects or treatment adjustments.
- Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and outcomes to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide clinical supervision, training, and ultimate oversight to clinic staff to ensure treatment adherence, precise positioning, and excellent patient rapport.
- Review clinical tracking logs, motor threshold trends, and patient-reported outcome measures.
- Lead the design, implementation, and growth of the TMS service line within the Vienna clinic.
- Establish clinical workflows, protocols, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership to expand TMS services and increase patient access within a self-pay environment.
- Work closely with clinic staff to optimize scheduling, patient flow, and treatment capacity.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and alignment with billing and compliance standards.
- Provide oversight, mentorship, and training to clinic staff.
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture across the care team.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of TMS staff as the program grows.
- Serve as a clinical ambassador for TMS services, supporting patient education and engagement.
- Collaborate with referral sources and internal providers to grow the TMS patient base.
- Address escalated patient concerns to ensure a positive treatment experience.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification (or board eligibility) in Psychiatry.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Prior experience leading a clinical service line or supervising clinical staff is highly preferred.
- Interest in program development, service line growth, and innovative mental health treatments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.
