About the role
The Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent) position at University of Michigan Health-West is a full-time opportunity for a board eligible/board certified psychiatrist. The role requires coordination and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to local communities.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
- Provide state-of-the-art empirically grounded psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic care
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations focusing on the child and adolescent patient population
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry
- Experience working with culturally diverse patients
- Fluency in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, or Bosnian
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Michigan medical license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
