Psychiatry Associate Account Manager - Madison, WI
About the role
The Associate Account Manager is responsible for growing market share and increasing sales volume of Lundbeck CNS products within a defined territory consisting of 50-75 targeted physicians and key accounts through effective territory management and precise execution.
Territory boundaries include: Madison, Janesville, Beloit, LaCrosse, Eau Claire. The target city for the territory is Madison, and candidates who live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries with access to a major airport will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed market share and sales volume goals
- Analyze sales reports and develop a business plan to increase market share
- Execute strategies to drive sales in key accounts
- Utilize available resources to drive sales with key customers
- Work with sales management to address managed care and reimbursement opportunities
- Develop expert knowledge of disease state and products
- Develop strategic account management strategies and tactics to drive product utilization with key accounts
- Work closely with strategic alliance partners to drive product sales in overlap accounts
- Achieve or exceed territory execution metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university
- 1+ year of sales, marketing, and/or relevant commercial experience
- High energy level and strong work ethic
- Strong planning and interpersonal skills; demonstrated decision-making ability
- Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams, including being certified on product knowledge annually
- Outstanding communication skills
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience calling on psychiatrists or neurologists
- Additional healthcare-related formal educational, certifications or training is a plus
Travel
The role requires willingness and ability to travel up to 30% - 40% domestically to meet with customers and internal personnel, and attend internal and external conferences and meetings.
Pay and Benefits
Salary pay range: $90,000 - $110,000, with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $40,500. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision), company match 401k, and a company car.
