About the role

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for growing market share and increasing sales volume of Lundbeck CNS products within a defined territory consisting of 50-75 targeted physicians and key accounts through effective territory management and precise execution.

Territory boundaries include: Madison, Janesville, Beloit, LaCrosse, Eau Claire. The target city for the territory is Madison, and candidates who live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries with access to a major airport will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed market share and sales volume goals
  • Analyze sales reports and develop a business plan to increase market share
  • Execute strategies to drive sales in key accounts
  • Utilize available resources to drive sales with key customers
  • Work with sales management to address managed care and reimbursement opportunities
  • Develop expert knowledge of disease state and products
  • Develop strategic account management strategies and tactics to drive product utilization with key accounts
  • Work closely with strategic alliance partners to drive product sales in overlap accounts
  • Achieve or exceed territory execution metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1+ year of sales, marketing, and/or relevant commercial experience
  • High energy level and strong work ethic
  • Strong planning and interpersonal skills; demonstrated decision-making ability
  • Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams, including being certified on product knowledge annually
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience calling on psychiatrists or neurologists
  • Additional healthcare-related formal educational, certifications or training is a plus

Travel

The role requires willingness and ability to travel up to 30% - 40% domestically to meet with customers and internal personnel, and attend internal and external conferences and meetings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary pay range: $90,000 - $110,000, with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $40,500. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision), company match 401k, and a company car.
