About the role
Virtua Medical Group is actively seeking a full-time Outpatient Behavioral Health Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Health team in Southern New Jersey at our Moorestown and Voorhees locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adult behavioral health patients in an outpatient setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans while promoting recovery-oriented, evidence-based care.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, primary care providers, advanced practice providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Build meaningful therapeutic relationships while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of Virtua's Behavioral Health services.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Current NJ Medical License.
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices and treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and regulations.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay
$300,000 starting salary, with actual pay based on experience, internal equity, and market alignment.
