About the role
The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV.
- Provide comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs.
- Create and implement treatment plans including cognitive and educational activities; group and individual therapy; psychiatric evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment; and 24-hour nursing care.
- Offer outpatient therapy, medication management, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs.
- Work within the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry.
Requirements
- An MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligibility for state medical licensure.
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program.
- Board certification/eligibility in psychiatry.
