Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Remote Consulting Physician This is a 100% remote consulting role supporting BHC’s psychiatric nurse practitioners with medication management. The position does not include direct client care, an assigned caseload, prescribing, or on-call responsibilities. Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide clinical consultation and guidance to our psychiatric nurse practitioners. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a physician who wants to support providers and strengthen medication-management practices without maintaining a client caseload. The consulting psychiatrist will not evaluate or treat clients directly, prescribe medication to BHC clients, or maintain a caseload. BHC’s psychiatric nurse practitioners will remain responsible for evaluating their clients, making and documenting treatment decisions, and prescribing within their authorized scope of practice. QualificationsMD or DO degreeBoard Certified or Board Eligible in PsychiatryActive medical license in good standingWisconsin medical license or eligibility for Wisconsin licensureStrong knowledge of psychiatric medication managementExperience consulting with or mentoring psychiatric nurse practitionersExperience with complex psychiatric casesEffective communication, consultation, and collaboration skillsFamiliarity with multidisciplinary behavioral health practices Schedule and CompensationThis is a flexible, part-time consulting opportunity averaging approximately five hours per week. The schedule may include planned provider consultations, case discussions, and ongoing advisory support. Actual hours may vary based on BHC’s needs.Competitive compensation will be based on experience, responsibilities, and anticipated time commitment.
