Psychiatrist Provider Assistant

About the role
We’re hiring a Psych Provider Assistant for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department. This full-time, days opportunity is located at Baptist Medical Center’s downtown campus, with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the direct assistant to the psych provider.
- Manage all administrative duties for the psychiatrist.
- Perform similar functions for non-psychiatrist providers as needed.
- Answer incoming calls on a phone queue.
- Provide assistance to patients and staff across all office locations.
- Dually train as an office specialist, gaining knowledge of billing and scheduling job codes.
- Ensure the office runs smoothly and without disruption.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of behavioral health experience (in lieu of preferred education).
- High School Diploma (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field (preferred).
Schedule
Full-time, days: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Primary location: Downtown campus – Reid Building.
