Essential Functions

Delivers healthcare in a professional manner that strives to meet or exceed those criteria set forth but not limited to NCQA, OSHA, CLIA, The Joint Commission, as well as the internal standards that seek continuous quality improvements.

Reviews patients' medical history and collects additional information from family members and other providers as needed.

Provides service to all new and established patients presenting to the practice who meet the standards for a positive physician-patient relationship.

Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.

Evaluates patients' emotional, behavioral and mental state through discussion, observation and analysis.

Identifies medical and/or mental health conditions and determines best treatments.

Educates patients and families on wellness, prevention and early detection.

Provides referrals based on examination and patient needs.

Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education and patient care programs.

Oversees the whole process of health care delivery for patients assigned to primary care, specialty care and/or behavioral health.

Maintains Medical Records for all services provided.

Physician must comply with terms of all payor contracts and any other legal requirements concerning discrimination, access to care and the standard of care.

Physician will remain current with all licensure requirements, compliance training, to the facility Code of Conduct, and other regulations or imperatives both current and as yet undefined.

Works with Administration to achieve a practice style that meets physician preference, quality criteria and fiscal responsibility.

Physician and administration work collaboratively to manage costs and productivity.

Performs other physician-related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge and competency to care for children/adults with complex medical needs.

Skill in intervention and collaboration.

Skill in problem solving, critical thinking, and detailed organization.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with patients, their families, clinic staff and community members.

Ability to work with interdisciplinary clinical teams.

Ability to collaborate with medical and behavioral health specialists with different sub-specialty training.

Ability to maintain good standing with the Federal and State agencies avoiding any action that may lead to sanctioning, exclusion or other ineligible status.

Ability to operate personal computer and related office equipment as needed to perform job function.

Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required.
  • Internship and/or Residency: Required.
  • Experience: Two or more years of related pediatric experience required.
  • Licenses And Certificates: Board certification eligibility required; Arizona License required; BLS certification required.

  • The employee may potentially be exposed to infectious organisms during routine and emergency situations.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
