Psychiatrist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Inpatient Facility in Indiana

About the Role

This inpatient psychiatrist position involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care for adult patients in a structured clinical setting. The clinician will conduct assessments, prescribe and manage medications, and educate patients and families to support recovery. The role requires leading treatment plans and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team within units of 2-15 beds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full-time inpatient psychiatric services during day shifts
• Manage a caseload of 2-15 adult patients
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Provide patient and family education
• Lead treatment planning and coordinate with team members

Requirements

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Prescriptive authority
• Experience in adult inpatient psychiatric care
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week (day shifts). No call or weekend duties required.

Work Environment

On-site work environment with variable length of patient stays and caseloads.
