Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens

Role Overview: This position involves providing full-time inpatient psychiatric services in a forensic state hospital setting, primarily treating adult patients with forensic psychiatric conditions, including the NGRI population. Key Responsibilities Lead a multidisciplinary treatment team and manage an average caseload of 24 patients monthly.Oversee 1-2 admissions and discharges per month.Complete court documentation and provide testimony as needed.Participate in quality improvement projects and clinical meetings.Support staff nurse practitioners and collaborate with the medical team. Qualifications & Skills Board certification is negotiable.Experience with forensic psychiatric populations preferred.Strong leadership and communication skills. Work Details: The role requires a 40-hour week on a day shift, with on-site presence at least 25% of the time. The position involves long-term treatment with variable census and no call duties.
