Psychiatrist -Emancipation Center

Role Summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our expanding team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible mental health care in various settings including outpatient, emergency, and jail-based clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals and complete all applicable assessments as per State and Program Standards.
• Provide Medication Maintenance and prescribe all rehabilitative therapies associated with persons served.
• Provide case consultation and make appropriate recommendations for crisis services.
• Complete all required documentation to ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and organizational standards.
• Prescribe medications and supervise Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Physician Assistants (PAs).
• Attend designated meetings and complete all required training as outlined by The Harris Center.
• Perform other related job duties as requested or required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school and psychiatric residency program.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas and Specialty in Psychiatry.
• Board eligible or board certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent, and Forensic.
• Maintain a current Controlled Substance Registration certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) Registered.
