Responsibilities
- Psychiatric services to children and/or adults served by programs of Easterseals
- Biological and psycho-social assessments including psychiatric evaluation, annual psychiatric assessment, physical assessment, and referral
- Makes diagnoses and develops recommendations regarding treatment
- Reviews and monitors consumer medication plans
- Takes wellness measures including blood pressure, height, weight, etc. at each Medication Review
- Evaluates children and/or adults in crisis who may need hospitalization or medication to avoid hospitalization
- Certifies involuntary commitment and hospitalization of adult mental health consumers
- Aids in clinical supervision and consultation to clinical staff for quality, efficient, and cost-effective coordination of treatment, continuing care, and support services
- Participates in court proceedings to provide testimony regarding mental health of consumers as needed
