About the role

East Tennessee Behavioral Health is a 90‑bed acute inpatient behavioral health facility offering inpatient, IOP, PHP, and ECT services. We are committed to providing compassionate, high‑quality psychiatric care to adults and adolescents throughout East Tennessee. We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team.

• Average caseload of 16 patients per day
• WellSky EMR
• Supportive team of psychiatrists and psychiatric NPs

Schedule

Full-Time; Monday–Friday business hours with one weekend per month of rounding and on-call coverage ($3,500 stipend).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders
• Developing individualized treatment plans
• Managing medications
• Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care
• Providing clinical services to patients at the facility
• Practicing within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate, facility policy or procedures
• Reviewing medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations
• Evaluating patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
• Treating or directing treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications
• Reviewing and completing medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner
• Maintaining confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with policy and procedures

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required
• One or more years’ post‑graduate practice preferred
• Licensed in the state in which the
