About the role

Valley View Hospital’s mental health department offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare services in Glenwood Springs and surrounding areas. We are seeking a licensed psychiatrist to establish or expand their practice while working for an Independent Facility. This position will join our growing outpatient team, collaborating with an experienced psychiatrist and nurse practitioners to provide high-quality behavioral health services in a supportive clinical environment. The role includes travel to support off-site clinics in Eagle County, Silt County, and Basalt County.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and clinical excellence in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners.
• Travel to off-site clinics as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Colorado Medical License as an MD or DO.
• Current DEA registration with no restrictions on prescribing controlled substances.
• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
