About the role
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Petaluma, one of five campuses throughout the Bay Area. Responsibilities include reviewing and accepting referrals, completing initial psychiatric evaluations, prescribing and monitoring medications, and collaborating with the care team.
Responsibilities
- Review and accept referrals to the partial hospitalization program
- Complete initial psychiatric evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs
- Prescribe and monitor medications and provide psychiatric reassessments as needed during a client’s enrollment
- Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen for each client during the course of their treatment in program
- Provide coverage for other psychiatrists and other campuses as needed via telehealth
- Maintain timely and accurate paperwork as needed, including Medi-Cal documentation
- Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director
Requirements
- Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
- Active California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate
- Successful completion of Seneca’s credentialing process
- Proof of liability insurance
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
Qualifications
- REQUIRED: Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
- ACTIVE: California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate
- PROOF: Successful completion of Seneca’s credentialing process
- INSURANCE: Proof of liability insurance
- DRIVING: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- OTHER: TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
Benefits
Contracted
$240/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with no board certifications
$250/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with board certification in General Psychiatry
$265/hour: board-certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam
