Our psychiatrist is a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in mental health who provides high‑quality, patient‑centered assessment and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. A psychiatrist at HOPES functions as an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team within the Behavioral Health Department. Psychiatrists conduct biopsychosocial assessments, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and conduct medication management. They consult with other behavioral health providers, medical providers, support staff, and paraprofessionals to support HOPES’ whole‑person, integrated approach to patient care. They may conduct psychotherapeutic interventions based on interest and agency need.

• Conduct psychotherapeutic interventions (as interest and agency need)

Qualifications

• Active medical license in the State of Nevada
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible (MD or DO)
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Valid BLS certification prior to hire (HRSA compliance)
• Consideration given for physicians qualifying for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
• Acknowledgement of HOPES policy HR0005 regarding behavioral health services for employees and patients
