Psychiatrist
About the role
The North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown is seeking a staff Psychiatrist to join their 20-member clinical staff. The hospital is Joint Commission accredited and Medicare certified, treating chemically dependent and secure service populations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily rounds; 50% time with patients
- Participate in rotation for limited hospital-wide call shared with NP's and Clinical Psychologists
- Present legal testimony
- Record diagnostic and mental status interviews
- Record physical exam reports
- Record weekly progress notes
- Provide leadership for clinical team
- Participate in peer review
- Achieve/maintain board certification
- Obtain a minimum of 25 hours of CMEs per year
- Maintain competencies
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible M.D. with residency in psychiatry
- Eligible to qualify for licensure in North Dakota
- Will consider J-1 visa candidates
