About the role
Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join their hospital-employed Behavioral Health team.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients
- Manage psychiatric conditions through evidence-based medication management and treatment planning
- Deliver care in an inpatient and/or consult-liaison setting (based on program needs)
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, therapists, hospitalists, and case management
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Comply with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all state and federal regulations
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain DEA license or eligibility
