Be a member of a tightly integrated team of primary care and mental health providers that delivers care to patients in long-term care settings. Provide much-needed service to a vulnerable population in the integrated and comprehensive model that psychiatrists are trying to achieve. Enjoy leadership and teaching opportunities as you lead a team of midlevel providers and collaborate with psychotherapists in implementing best practices. Free yourself from having to work behind a desk and the ticking clock of outpatient practice and enjoy the freedom to practice psychiatry based on patient needs and your clinical judgement, delivering care to patients where they live.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of midlevel providers (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants).
• Collaborate with psychotherapists to implement best practices in mental health care.
• Provide psychiatric care to adults residing in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
• Participate in an integrated, interdisciplinary care model alongside primary care and other specialty providers.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Psychiatry with all North Carolina practicing privileges.
• Geriatric experience preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
