Role Overview: The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, including evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments and deliver ongoing treatment across all age groupsManage medications, including psychopharmacology and long-acting injectablesInterpret diagnostic and lab results to inform treatmentCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as therapists and nursesParticipate in crisis intervention and urgent care when necessaryDevelop and review individualized treatment plans following regulatory standardsLead or contribute to medication groups and patient education effortsSupport quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance Qualifications And Skills MD or DO with completed accredited Psychiatry residencyBoard Certified or Eligible in PsychiatryActive New York State medical license and DEA registrationSubspecialty training or board certification in Child and Adolescent PsychiatryExperience in outpatient or community mental health settingsStrong psychopharmacology expertise, including complex medication managementExperience in teaching or supervising trainees and familiarity with NYSOMH regulations
