About the Role
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our inpatient behavioral health team. This role is primarily focused on medication management and collaborative rounding within a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care with a strong focus on medication management.
- Participate in every-other-weekend call rotation, managing predictable inpatient needs with NP support.
- Collaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners who handle most of the daily rounding.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized inpatient treatment plans.
- Engage in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care during acute episodes.
- Cookordination care with NPs, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and nursing staff.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices and standards of care.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Psychiatry residency program.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Unrestricted license to practice Psychiatry in the United States.
- Experience diagnosing and treating mental health disorders in a clinical setting.
- Comfort with inpatient workflow and managing acute patient needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction, or other psychiatric subspecialties.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners or other mental health providers.
- Familiarity with integrated or team-based behavioral health care models.
- Training or experience in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry strongly preferred.
