Psychiatric Tech - Psychiatric CSU - FT - 1st Shift

About the role

The Psychiatric Tech works closely with Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care. Duties include administering medications, assisting with personal hygiene, comforting patients, and collecting data to support the care plan.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed by the RN
• Assist patients with daily living activities
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients
• Collect and record patient data for the care plan
• Carry out interventions directed by the RN

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous psychiatric work experience preferred, or a psychology education background

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical stamina for lifting and moving patients
