What You’ll Do
- Provide psychiatric nursing services across residential, crisis, and community-based programs in alignment with model fidelity and program needs.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, and internal/external care teams to coordinate psychiatric and medical treatment.
- Support individuals served through recovery-based, person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent nursing care.
- Conduct psychiatric and health assessments, screenings, AIMS testing, and ongoing monitoring of treatment progress.
- Lead and support medication administration, monitoring, and pharmaceutical management under appropriate clinical oversight.
- Identify and respond to emergency or crisis situations using accepted clinical and crisis intervention practices.
- Participate in treatment planning, goal setting, care coordination, and referrals to community resources.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in audits, reporting, staff meetings, and quality, safety, and satisfaction initiatives.
- May provide clinical supervision and support for LPNs, including performance oversight and coaching.
- Participate in on-call nursing coverage as assigned, including emergency response.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active State of Michigan RN Licensure.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per Hope Network policy.
- Four or more years of psychiatric nursing experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of recovery-based care, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Trauma-Informed Care, Seeking Safety, and Family Psychoeducation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet documentation timelines.
- Demonstrated professionalism, emotional maturity, and sound clinical judgment.
