Psychiatric Nurse (PRN)
Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a 24-hour, 10-acre campus in Scottsdale, providing services to youth ages 7 to 17 experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The campus includes dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.
About the role
As a PRN Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct daily medical management for our adolescent population, review and follow up with medical providers regarding medication effectiveness and side effects, and supervise safety issues, crisis intervention, infection control, and general medical management. You will maintain communication with all departments involved in direct client care and provide education/training for direct care personnel in the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level.
Requirements
- Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Six (6) months nursing experience
- Previous behavioral health experience with children/adolescents or pediatric nursing preferred
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills
- Must attend mandatory two (2) weeks of paid New Hire Orientation: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, followed by on-the-job training
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
- Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer with negative results
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
Pay
- Pay Range: $45/hr (flat rate)
- Shift Differentials: $2/hr for 3:00pm - 11:00pm; $4/hr for 11:00pm-7:00am
Schedule
Various PRN schedules (3x12 shifts); overnight shifts available.
