Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Treatment Resistant Disorders - Chapel Hill

About the role

The Treatment Resistant Disorders Group at Avance Psychiatry is led by Robert Millet, MD. The group focuses on advanced, research-backed treatments for patients with treatment-resistant depression and other conditions that don't respond to standard mental health therapies.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8am-5pm)
• No on-call or weekend hours required
• One day per week telemedicine from home with supervisor approval
• Work in an integrated healthcare system with colleagues in primary care, neurology, addiction, opioid maintenance therapy, child psychiatry, and over 60 behavioral therapists
• Treatment modalities include esketamine (Spravato), ketamine, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (NP)
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification
• Current valid state medical license
• DEA License
• Experience preferred but early career clinicians are encouraged to apply
