Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - New York

About the role
We are seeking both part-time and full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in New York. If you enjoy working on a team with bright, ambitious advanced practice nurses and are seeking the flexibility and autonomy of private practice, this is an excellent opportunity for you. We offer a competitive 1099 compensation model and a supportive work environment that provides mentorship and training. You can build your own schedule within our operating hours, which are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. We require a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients for medication, therapy, or a combination of both.
- Proactively follow up with clients at a minimum on a monthly basis to assess the efficacy of recommended interventions and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved.
- Provide various modalities of talk therapy, as our clientele strongly prefers nurse-founded combined medication and therapy appointments.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Active New York Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License.
- ANCC Board Certification.
- 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health.
- Strong assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ambitious, client-centric work ethic.
- Must have your own computer and a quiet, professional space to take tele-psychiatry appointments.
- DEA Certification (Required).
