Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Neurotherapy Provider

About the role

Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is expanding its service offerings to include neurofeedback therapy as a complementary intervention to support individuals with complex behavioral health needs. We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong clinical foundation and an interest in advancing innovative, evidence-based interventions to join our expanding program.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct neurofeedback training sessions using approved equipment, protocols, and evidence-based practices.
• Absess patient readiness, tolerance, and response to neurofeedback interventions and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Perform neurotherapy sessions and cognitive rehabilitation treatment according to patient need.
• Interpret neurofeedback session data and patient progress to inform treatment decisions.
• Provide patient education on neurofeedback methodology, expectations, and care plans.
• Partner with therapists, psychiatrists, and care teams to support integrated treatment planning.
• Communicate progress updates, clinical concerns, and treatment recommendations to the care team and leadership as appropriate.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and program development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in the state of practice.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Strong clinical documentation skills and comfort with electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with care teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior training or experience with neurofeedback, biofeedback, or related modalities.
• Experience working in behavioral health, long-term care, outpatient clinics, or neurocognitive treatment programs.
• Familiarity with QEEG, brain mapping, or functional neurotherapeutic interventions.
