About the role

MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a part-time psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their integrated Pediatric team in Brunswick, Maine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric consultation and care to help shape services for a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic.
  • Educate the care team on psychiatric approaches to behavioral health conditions.
  • Treat children of all ages and young adults with behavioral health disorders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice, and additional medical training.
  • Current and valid license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
  • Qualified to conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage medications.
  • Experience: 2+ years of patient care as a (PMHNP) in a community mental health center or hospital.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating patients.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree with additional medical training, a current and valid license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and 2+ years of experience in a community mental health center or hospital setting.

Skills

The ideal candidate should have a passion for treating children of all ages and young adults with behavioral health disorders.
