Responsibilities
- Conduct 60–90-minute initial psychiatric evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, based on the presenting symptoms and complaints.
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health and co-occurring conditions.
- Document patients' medical, substance use and psychological histories, physical assessment results, laboratory results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes.
- Educate patients and family members about mental health, co-occurring and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, or treatment plans.
- Prescribe psychotropic medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, peer support staff and nursing staff, to develop, implement, or evaluate treatment plans.
- Communicate with outside providers such as hospital, court, child welfare and school staff as appropriate and necessary.
Requirements
- MSN or DNP with a psychiatric-mental and substance/co-occurring health focus.
- Certification as a PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified).
- Ability to provide evidece-based, inclusive, patient-centered, trauma-informed and culturally humble care while respecting diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
- Skilled in explaining medical concepts in a clear, understandable manner for staff, patients and their families.
- Strong ability to evaluate symptoms, diagnose conditions, and determine appropriate treatment plans for patients of all ages.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Pay
The salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $180,000.

The modal is a hybrid model, with two days in person and three days remote.
