Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial Psychiatric evaluations.
• Meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions.
• Maintain current and correct progress notes.
• Psychotherapeutic medication management.
• Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed.
• Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate.
• Provide patient-specific input for Discharge Planning.
• Maintain compliance with all standards set by agencies with oversight of this facility, and practice within the scope of a PMHNP.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing on a PMHNP track, at minimum, from an accredited program.
• Board Certified by the ANCC as PMHNP.
• Current license as APRN or PCNS, or be license-eligible.
• Hold or obtain CPR / BLS certificate prior to providing services.

Skills

New graduates are welcome; experience is highly desired, and we consider clinical rotations and/or practica to be clinical experience.
