Requirements
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Active license and DEA registration.
- Master's Degree (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones.
- Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: minimum one year of experience in a Skilled Nursing setting.
Qualifications
Experience in a Skilled Nursing setting is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnoses.
- Prescribing all necessary medications and treatments.
- Conducting monthly stability visits for long-term residents.
- Evaluating residents with changes in condition and participating in Advanced Care Planning.
- Developing and implementing patient management policies and procedures.
- Collaborating and communicating with interdisciplinary teams, medical directors, attending physicians, and specialists.
- Completing accurate documentation and CPT coding.
- Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
