About the Role

Legion Health is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to deliver outpatient mental health care to patients across Ohio via a technology-enabled telehealth platform. This role offers clinical autonomy and support combined with the flexibility of remote practice, allowing you to evaluate and treat patients with conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

This is a predominantly remote telehealth position with potential for future in-person consultations. You will work within Legion Health's network of experienced psychiatrists and PMHNPs, with access to psychiatric consultation and peer case review for clinical support and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, PTSD, and bipolar disorder
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental health history, medical history, and risk analysis
  • Create and execute tailored treatment plans combining medication management and brief psychotherapy
  • Use evidence-based treatments and novel therapeutic techniques
  • Collaborate with other mental health and medical professionals
  • Participate in case reviews with peers and physicians to enhance clinical skills
  • Promote a compassionate, respectful, and empathetic care environment

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Ohio
  • Board certification as a PMHNP (ANCC)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience practicing as a PMHNP
  • Commitment to a minimum 1-year tenure with Legion Health
  • Comfort providing care remotely via telehealth
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort using technology and electronic health record systems
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care

Schedule

Both part-time and full-time positions are available. You will set your own schedule for optimal work-life balance.

Psychiatric intakes are scheduled for 1 hour and follow-ups for 30 minutes.
