Psychiatric Mental Health NP

Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Per diem Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner to work in a team environment providing care to adults and adolescents in CHD's Crisis Stabilization and Outpatient Clinic in Chicopee, Massachusetts. This is an on-site position at our clinics.

About the role

These programs treat individuals and families throughout the care continuum. Services include but are not limited to individual counseling, psychiatry, recovery coaching, case management, treatment for substance use disorders, and peer support.

Responsibilities

• Psychiatric evaluation(s), assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults/adolescents experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders in the short-term crisis stabilization unit
• Outpatient psychiatric care
• Collaboration with other physicians, advanced practice nurses, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals
• Provide clinical consultation, in person or remotely, to other members of the clinical team
• Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others of people served when clinically indicated
• Counsel people served and their families when clinically indicated
• Document evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatments in the electronic health records
• Participate in individualized treatment plan designs
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests
• The ability to work fully on-site

Requirements

• State certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist
• An unrestricted license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• An unrestricted DEA registration
• A state-issued Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
• Registration with the Massachusetts Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
• No suspension/exclusion from participation in federal health care programs
• X-Waiver preferred

Qualifications

• We are prioritizing candidates with both FNP and PMHNP certifications, as this role can provide support for our enhanced medical group living environment as well as coverage at our CBHC crisis stabilization unit
• Master's degree or better in a relevant field
• NPI Number (preferred)

Pay

$100.00/hr
