Psychiatric Emergency Services Attending Psychiatrist - Assistant Professor
About the role
The position is for an attending psychiatrist who has an active medical license and is board certified or board eligible. The position requires four 8-hour shifts per week with 8 hours of administrative time evenings until midnight, and on weekends regularly. Holidays will also need to be covered, and the applicant will be expected to help with this.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and disposition psychiatric patients who are in need of acute mental health treatment.
- Supervise trainees and see patients on their own if necessary.
- See medical issues on 13A and 13B.
- Fulfill assigned shifts or find someone to replace them once the schedule is published.
Requirements
The position requires an active medical license and is board certified or board eligible. Applicants must have experience in diagnosing, treating, and dispositions psychiatric patients who are in need of acute mental health treatment. They should also be able to supervise trainees and see patients on their own if necessary.
