Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities
- Observe and document patient behavior
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure patient well-being and safety
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer
- De-escalation training completed by 90 days
- One (1) year experience as a Nurse Assistant or related field preferred
- Mental health experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer
- Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days)
- Must have appropriate level of de-escalation training
Skills
- Physical demands: Moderately active, sitting, moving about the office, facility, traveling within SRHS service area
- Physical capabilities: Exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Physical motions: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard
- Visual and acuity: Close visual and acuity, ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus
- Attention to detail and multitasking: Required in complex situations
- Customer service skills: Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette
- Computer proficiency: Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (keyboard proficient), other office technology (telephone, fax), MS Outlook and Word
- Professional judgment: Superior clinical judgment and ability to apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages
