About the role

As a Phlebotomist, you will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed
• Travel to additional sites when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience

Schedule

This is a casual/per diem position with hours as needed. Start and end times vary, with availability required Monday–Friday (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) and weekends.

Pay

Pay range: $17.75 – $21.00 per hour. All job offers are based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
