About the role

This position coordinates and oversees activities at Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The Phlebotomy Site Coordinator works closely with PSC staff, management, laboratory staff, and clients to ensure optimal operation. The role also involves performing phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
  • Review monthly productivity reports and report deviations as necessary
  • Address customer service issues promptly and respectfully
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other tests
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Travel to additional sites when required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • 1+ years of experience as a phlebotomist
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
  • In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities, and techniques
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a people leader

Pay

$19–25 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 5:45 AM–2:15 PM. Additional days and hours may be required.
