About the role
The PSC Manager oversees the operations of a designated patient service center (PSC) and manages Natera's phlebotomy program at the specified location. This role may also involve overseeing other phlebotomists to support patient volume growth.
Responsibilities
- Verifies test requisitions and patient identification.
- Obtains blood specimens and maintains specimen integrity.
- Tracks and reports quality control results and resolves unusual test orders.
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment and complies with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities and professional networks.
- Manages phlebotomy equipment, vendor relationships, and staff training.
- Monitors and addresses customer feedback and escalations.
- Ensures continuous communication about ongoing draw statuses and general phlebotomy knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
- 5+ years of high-level customer care experience.
- BS/BA degree preferred, but not required.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, except where state regulations mandate it.
- Previous financial and budgetary experience preferred.
- Bilingual language skills preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and procedures, and comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- General understanding of mobile phlebotomy and phlebotomy services.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn and utilize online tools for effective program management.
