Job Summary

Do you have a passion for working with children and making a real difference in their lives? If you’re looking for an exciting opportunity in the world of pediatric orthopedic care, look no further! We’re seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team, where you’ll be supporting young patients and their families at four convenient locations: Salt Lake, Lehi, Provo, and Layton. This position will require you to split time between two of these locations, with the possibility of covering at the others as needed. Best of all? There are no weekends required for this position!

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures, critiques radiographs and images to maintain quality control program.
  • Selects film, adjusts and programs a variety of film changes, including cinefluorography, and may develop films.
  • Captures patient vital signs and condition when indicated during exams.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive exposure to radiation and electric shock.
  • Assists in orienting new employees or students regarding workflow and procedures of the department.
  • Prepares, cleans and stocks rooms with supplies and linens.
  • May participate on department and hospital committees and provide in-service training to hospital staff.

Requirements

  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technician R.T. (R).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
  • Ability to provide care to the population served.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures manual.
  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to select proper cassette size, exposure factors and correct any exposure and imaging problems.
  • Ability to prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the needs of the physicians.
