PRP REHABILITATION COUNSELOR – STATE-WIDE/EASTERN SHORE

About the role

The Rehabilitation Counselor (RC) supports the Rehabilitation Specialist (RS) to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Responsibilities include developing or restoring independent living and social skills, promoting community integration, and preventing relapse and re-hospitalization.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the implementation of PRP programs and policies.
• Collaborate with the RS and PD to manage PRP staff and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Educate staff on proper documentation and treatment team interventions.

• Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred, preferably in psychology or a related field.
  • Experience or education related to understanding mental illness and working with clients diagnosed with mental illness.
  • Strong interpersonal and client-centered communication skills.
