Hybrid leadership role that blends hands-on clinical expertise with front-line supervision of Medical Assistants and Scribes in a cardiology, rhythm-management, and vascular practice. The Team Lead is the operational hub for each provider pod, ensuring seamless documentation, patient flow, communication, and adherence to CVHC’s standards for safety, accuracy, timeliness, and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Observe and record patient behaviors; collect health histories and perform physical examinations.
- Conduct diagnostic tests (EKGs, Holter monitor application/downloads).
- Counsel patients and families on treatment plans; change wound dressings and administer other treatments.
- Read and interpret patient data to make appropriate treatment decisions; consult with providers on complex cases.
- Research and implement process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop job aids, SOPs, checklists, and training materials.
- Lead onboarding, spot training, and workflow reinforcement for new and existing MAs and scribes.
- Support rollout of new initiatives, policy changes, and SOPs.
- Assist in emergency response as needed.
- Document patient examinations, treatments, and test results in the EMR; retrieve records from hospital systems.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and confidential work environment in accordance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and all legal regulations.
- Foster interdepartmental coordination to optimize the patient experience.
- Provide IV access support for ultrasound and nuclear departments when required.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience in a practice setting.
- Prior leadership, preceptor, or team-lead experience.
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to local offices (OKC-based; includes 30-minute flights or ground travel with the provider team).
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years in a clinical practice environment.
- Direct experience in cardiac or vascular healthcare.
- EMR proficiency.
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and room turnover.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs depending on pod assignment.
- Exposure to clinical environments requiring PPE use.
- Standard weekday schedule with flexibility for early huddles, late-day documentation, and operational needs.
