Responsibilities
- Recruits providers and Specialists in designated geographic territory and negotiates provider contracts within specified guidelines.
- Identifies and research potential prospective physicians and providers to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Maintains a deep understanding of our services and offerings; stay updated on any developments and be able to effectively communicate them.
- Establishes and maintain positive relationships with various clients, building strong cohesive business partnerships.
- Collaborates with multiple internal departments and external organizations to achieve goals, solve problems, and meet organizational objectives.
- Affords assistance in enhancing ease of use of the physician portal.
- Affords assistance to providers and members with basic inquiries about claims, authorizations, benefits, and other issues.
- Fosters and maintains proactive, positive relations throughout the provider network through face-to-face visits, emails, telephone calls, etc.
- Supports the team in establishing, building, and maintaining positive working relationships with local providers.
- Offers mentorship and support for newer Team Members.
- Intervenes and escalates issues as appropriate.
- Liaison between the practice and MSO.
- Conducts onsite visits at physician offices daily to facilitate account management and provider growth.
- Onsite visits to at least 5 PCP offices a day or 25 visits a week.
- Records daily contact of visits and interactions with providers in a shared database (i.e. Salesforce).
- Serves as the main point of contact for the resolution of provider issues, as needed, including internal process improvement, authorizations, complaints, benefits, contracts, fees and other issues.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and implement effective provider recruitment processes and take initiative to follow up with prospective providers as appropriate.
- Able to apply sales and marketing skills when conducting provider recruitment activities.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and managed care concepts.
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective providers through regular direct contact and effective communication.
- Passion for sales and a commitment for growth.
