Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain a proactive protocol program
- Work with high level military and civilian officials
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with groups interested in or affected by the protocol program or policies
- Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the program
- Understand and apply pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents and local guidelines affecting the protocol program and related support resources
- Understand major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of the protocol program
- Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups to explain the program, its objectives/policies, and obtain cooperation
- Adapt analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve the protocol program
- Use written and oral communication principles, methods, and techniques to conduct and coordinate protocol activities for a variety of organizations
- Understand Air Force, major command, and military traditions related to protocol
- Experience working with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access databases, and Microsoft SharePoint
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of military traditions
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
- Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents and local guidelines
- Knowledge of major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups
- Experience working with Microsoft applications
