About the role
As a Protection Engineer at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), you will provide power system protection services including system model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development, area coordination studies, standards development, relay operation analysis, and technical reviews of drawings and relay settings. You will also be responsible for mentoring less experienced engineers.Responsibilities
- Provide power system protection services including system model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development, area coordination studies, standards development, relay operation analysis, and technical reviews of drawings and relay settings.
- Be in charge of mentoring less experienced engineers via direct training and technical review of work.
Requirements
- BSEE or equivalent degree;
- 5+ years protection engineering experience;
- SEL Relay Setting Experience;
- ASPE OneLiner or PSSE CAPE experience;
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills;
- Strong organization and planning skills;
- Able to work in a team environment;
- Commitment to quality and accuracy;
- A willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Qualifications
- P.E. license preferred.

- Strong technical skills in power system protection;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (SEL Relay Setting Experience, ASPE OneLiner or PSSE CAPE).
