Position Summary
In your role as a skilled Electrical Engineer within the Infra electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for safely energizing equipment, meeting critical milestones, and providing commissioning and engineering support. You will also assist in the development of maintenance plans and facilitate the handover of systems to operational ownership.
Role and Responsibilities
- Substation Engineering - end-to-end design review, QA/QC, commissioning, energization and sustaining 138kV Electrical Substation
- Protection & Controls - Utility Coordination, Electrical Modeling (ETAP), Power Quality Management (sag/swell analysis), Power Vaccine (application of continuous improvement principle)
- Mentoring and technical development of junior engineers on staff
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 12+ years of relevant experience with medium & high voltage electrical distribution
- Knowledgeable in high voltage breakers, power transformers, switchgear and their protections
- Knowledgeable in automatic transfer controls and backup power generation/paralleling switchgear
Pay and Benefits
Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
