Prospect Research Internship

Good Works Grant Writing helps nonprofit organizations maximize their foundation, corporate, and government grant funding. We assist nonprofit organizations in growing their revenues by customizing our comprehensive grants management system to their needs. Services include grant and progress report writing, comprehensive prospect research, and grant program planning. Current clients include Ballet Arizona, Benevilla, Children’s Museum of Phoenix, and Soldier’s Best Friend.

About the role

This is a work-from-home position. You will set your own hours and be responsible for providing a space suitable for working efficiently (estimated 6-10 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Find potential grant opportunities through email newsletters, grant databases, independent online research, and other sources; alert account managers of opportunities that are strong fits
• Conduct comprehensive prospect research as needed
• Conduct prospect research specific to clients’ programs periodically throughout the year
• Create funder profiles that can be shared with grant writing staff at team meetings
• Attend funder webinars / orientation sessions

Qualifications

• Detail oriented
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel (Database experience a plus but not required)
