About the role

We are looking for a Mepco Payroll Process Owner to take a key expert role in developing, unifying, and continuously improving payroll processes. In this position, you will play a crucial role in integrating new payroll functions during company acquisitions into Aallon’s unified operational models. This role combines process ownership, change management, and strong Mepco expertise. You will work at both strategic and practical levels to ensure that operational methods support business goals and smooth day-to-day payroll operations. You can work flexibly from different locations in Finland!

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive ownership and development of Mepco payroll processes
• Unifying, streamlining, and continuously improving processes
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing changes across the organization
• Acting as project manager for payroll system implementation projects when needed
• Coordinating Mepco superuser activities and providing supervisory guidance
• Supporting payroll specialists with system-related questions
• Planning and executing onboarding projects for new Mepco customers
• Integrating the payroll processes of acquired accounting firms into Aallon’s operational models and system environment
• Building unified operational practices and identifying and implementing best practices in acquisition situations
• Collaborating with payroll, system specialists, service managers, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong experience in payroll and payroll processes (PHT certification is considered an advantage)
• Familiarity with the Mepco system and experience in superuser tasks
• Experience in development or implementation projects and the ability to act as a project manager
• Proactive and determined in driving initiatives forward
• Ability to grasp broad entities and understand interdependencies between processes
• Skills in leading change and engaging various stakeholders toward common goals
• Ability to guide specialists and work in a supervisory role
• Clear communication and ability to build smooth collaboration across functions
• Desire to develop operations long-term and find new solutions
