About The Team

The Stennis Test team designs, builds, and operates Relativity's propulsion and stage test stands. Team members are hands-on with large-scale, complex systems including fully integrated engines and stage assemblies, pushing hardware to the limits and directly contributing to flight readiness. The work is fast-paced and highly operational, ideal for those with backgrounds in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, construction, or adjacent industries. About The Role

As a Propulsion Test Technician III, you will perform complex installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities supporting propulsion test operations. This role coordinates technical work, resolves complex equipment issues, and provides operational guidance during test execution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of propulsion test systems and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve system-level mechanical, fluid, and instrumentation issues.
  • Coordinate assigned technical activities supporting propulsion test operations.
  • Fabricate and install mechanical and instrumentation systems for new or modified test facilities.
  • Perform maintenance and functional verification of instrumentation and control components.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, work instructions, and equipment reliability.
  • Support commissioning activities for new or modified test systems.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians during routine testing and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to support test schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Stoop, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
  • Work occasional night shifts and travel as required.

About You

Experience supporting propulsion testing, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls, mechanical systems, or related technical environments.

Ability

  • Perform complex troubleshooting across multiple test system disciplines.
  • Coordinate technical work activities.
  • Interpret engineering documentation and apply it to field activities.
  • Provide technical guidance during maintenance and testing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and work processes.

Mechanical Focus

  • Experience troubleshooting complex fluid systems, valves, regulators, and mechanical assemblies.

Instrumentation Focus

  • Experience troubleshooting instrumentation, data acquisition systems, sensors, and control hardware.

Nice To Haves But Not Required

  • Experience supporting commissioning of new test facilities.
  • Experience performing root cause investigations.

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Stennis, Mississippi.
