Propulsion Systems Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 🎯 Deliver highly effective and timely Propulssion systems engineering support to Defense programs from the proposal phases to the development, certification and inservesApply engineering knowledge in the areas of Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel and FTIS towards the planning and development of missionized solutionsDuring the proposal phase, responsibilies will include developing concept and trade studies, requirements catpure, scope of work defintion and supplier engagement based on Customer requestsProduce technical proposal activities, supplier statements of work, including preparation of written material and presentationsDuring the development and certification phases, responsibilities will include intergration of the affected system, engineering documentation updates, supplier management and governance supportReview supplier documentation and verfication plansInterface with internal and external stakeholders to support technical engineering activitiesParticipate in the successful implementation of systems installations, modifications and operationDevelop good working relationships with various departments within BA and with suppliers Requirements YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎 You have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, ElectricalYou have experience in supporting product development life cycleYou have 5 years experience in aircraft Propulsion systems (Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel & FTIS)You are conversant with design, qualification, and certification test requirements of Propulsion systemsYou have flexibility to travel and work outside normal hoursYou are familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory materialYou possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integrationYou are familiar with Microsoft Office software toolsYou have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environmentYou must be able to work on ITAR controlled project SOGECLAIR promotes diversity and inclusion as part of essential elements of its performance and is committed to recruiting without discrimination.
